María Mercedes Zalduendo
(Buenos Aires, 30-6-1990)

Began her undergraduate studies in Chemistry in 2009 at FCEN-UBA where she obtained a Licenciate degree (MSs) in Chemistry. In FCEN-UBA she collaborated in two research groups and worked as teaching assistant in the Department of Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry. She joined the Chemistry of Nanomaterials Group in 2014, working as an intern in a project based on the design and production of SERS-active substrates for the detection of contaminants. In 2015 she was awarded a PhD scholarship (CONICET) to carry out her Doctoral Thesis under the supervision of Dr. Paula C. Angelomé. Her thesis is focused on the study of Mesoporous Nanocomposite Thin Films and their applications as optical platforms.
