Yamili Toum
(Lima, 1986)

After graduating from Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires, Yamili obtained a Chemical Science degree from UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires). She worked as an intern at two laboratories in the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales of UBA, where she also was assistant professor of General Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. She has worked as a lab intern at Nobleza Piccardo and as a Research Project Leader for the Pharmachemical Company Maprimed's R+D lab. In 2013 she obtained a CONICET PhD scholarship to carry on a research project on silicium dioxide mesoporous nanomaterials to explore its use as a platform for disease diagnosis and treatment under the direction of Dr. Alejandro Wolosiuk.
