Flavio Francisco Lucero

Flavio Francisco Lucero is a science enthusiast born in the town of Ayacucho, in the province of Buenos Aires, known for the "Fiesta Nacional del Ternero y día de la Yerra". In 2019, he was awarded a scholarship to study Materials Engineering at the Sabato Institute. During the year 2020, he had the opportunity to do an internship at the Atomic Center of Bariloche, where he worked with Dr. Aurélien Gasnier on the research of advanced carbonaceous matrices for carbon dioxide capture. In 2022, Flavio completed another internship in this group, under the supervision of Santiago Poklépovich Caride. During this experience, he gained knowledge in nanomaterial synthesis, focusing on the synthesis of gold nanoparticles using different methods. In 2023, Flavio completed his final project for his materials engineering degree with María Verónica Lombardo as his advisor and Tamara Antonella Altieri as his co-advisor in the field of optimization of zirconium oxide particle aerosol synthesis. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Materials Science and Technology under the direction of Dr. María Verónica Lombardo and Dr. Joaquín Sacanell in the synthesis of mesoporous electrodes by spray drying technique for potential use in fuel cells.
